But I am not sure there is sequel or not. The movie ends with cliff hanger as if it is setting up for sequel. It feels more like sci-fi movie than horror movie. There are some few creepy moments, but overall, movie isn’t scary at all. There are people resurrecting from the dead as a monsters, but they don’t really explore in detail. The movie doesn’t really explains about the monster and its myth. From emerging Israeli directors, brothers Yoav and Doron Paz comes an acclaimed award-winning film Jeruzalem, winner of the Audience Award and Best Editing. Overall, story line is bit disappointing. For example, the main character Sarah is dealing with death of her brother, but they don’t really get into what happened to him in detail.
The movie takes too long to set up and character development wasn’t effective. It takes a while for movie to get it going.
In fact, the main characters get annoying towards end of the movie. Because of the limited budget, the CGI and special effects aren’t the best. It has bit of sci-fi feel to the movie where Google glasses is able to use the face recognition technology to identify the people and find them in the Facebook. Use of Google glasses is very cool and it is bit different. The main character, Sarah, played by Danielle Jadelyn uses Google glasses in the movie. The movie has some interesting biblical mythical demon and monsters. You get to see the beautiful locations of Israel and get to see some of its unique culture. I like how they shot the movie in Israel. Here are some things I like about the movie. Jeruzalem is not completely original film, but it deals with interesting concept of biblical demons and monsters in the Holy-land. It just so happens they’re arriving during Yom Kippur, the holiest time on the Jewish calendar. He’s an affable, young archeologist who convinces them to go to Jerusalem with him instead. They’re going to hit Tel Aviv’s famous beaches and nightclubs but that itinerary is derailed after meeting Kevin (Yon Tumarkin) on the plane. Two American girls on vacation follow a mysterious and handsome anthropology student on a trip to Jerusalem. Sarah (Danielle Jadelyn) and Rachel (Yael Grobglas) are two young Jewish-American women on their way to what’s planned to be a hedonistic Israeli vacation. In this award-winning supernatural thriller, two American girls on vacation follow a mysterious and handsome anthropology student on a trip to Jerusalem. But its locale - Jerusalem’s walled Old City with all of its cultural ramifications - is different and intriguing enough to give at least the first half of this mildly enjoyable low-budget indie the jolt of the new. If not for its setting, the Israeli horror film Jeruzalem would be just another video verite, found-footage, would-be scarefest with little to make it unique.
